Overview

Senior Network Engineer who will play a key role in the Core Switching & Routing implementation, troubleshooting and documentation. The infrastructure includes Enterprise SDN Networking with: Cisco ACI,NSX-T and firewall components. Candidate must be a problem solver, self-starter, work with limited supervision, a team player and able to clearly communicate with other team members. This position will based out of Abu Dhabi.

Responsibilities

Implement various Data center networking technologies including: Cisco ACI, VMware NSX-T, Core and Perimeter firewalls.
Conduct user acceptance testing and troubleshoot any issues during the implementation phase
Provide ongoing support to clients post-implementation, including troubleshooting and resolving issues, performing regular system maintenance, and applying patches and upgrade as necessary.
Develop and maintain documentation related Data center networking solution and processes
Develop and maintain documentation related to Data Center Core and Perimeter Firewalls
Ensuring the customer’s solution is configured and technically deployed to specification, accurately, and on-time
Develop and maintain low level designs, system diagrams, systems installation configuration & guides, support procedures, test plans and runbook
Work closely with Systems & Cloud Security teams to ensure solutions deployed as designed.
Perform advanced problem determination and root-cause-analysis
Plan and execute the Core42 Operation Readiness process for Infrastructure projects for transition into production support.
Act as Technical leads to 3rd party vendors to ensure technical assurance and adherence to Core42 quality standards

Project Management

Participate in supporting the project scope, gather client requirements, manage/align resources, manage communications
Identify project tasks/activities and develop project schedules.
Collaborate with team members and project stakeholders
Effectively communicate project objectives and goals
Complete project activities on time, within budget and within scope

Implementation of Products/Solutions With Clients

Develop implementation plans
Create accurate operating procedures , support instructions, and operational/system documentation
Solicit feedback from client on quality of product/solution

Maintain recoverability as per target

Maintain utilization rates as per target
Ensure that Core42 Operation Readiness Process for Infrastructure projects is planned and executed to transition projects into support. OR activities are within the baseline project schedule and OR is accepted into operations constrained within the scope of the project.
Develop Low Level Designs and Implement Systems following Core42 Standard Builds and Security compliances.
Obtain positive project references from clients. (e.g) Emails from Client, Reference letters signed from clients and Case studies completed with clients
Support establishment of new solutions and services.
Gain skills and experience to implement emerging technologies, gain new certifications and support partnership requirements.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent work experience
Cisco Certified Internetworking Expert Routing and Switching/Security/Data Center (CCIE R&S/Security/Data Center)
Cisco Certified Network Professional in Collaboration ( CCNP Collaboration)
Palo Alto (PCNSE) or Fortinet NSE Certification
VMware VCIX-NV (preferred)

Minimum Experience

Total 8+ years of experience with Routing&Switching, Security and Data Center Technologies
Excellent experience in designing and implementing Cisco ACI Network Centric based Data Center projects with Core and Perimeter Firewalls
VMware Network Virtualization technologies
Architectural knowledge of virtualization tools and concepts is a bonus
Strong skills on producing and maintaining technical documentation like HLD, LLD and Network diagrams etc.

Job-Specific Skills

Routing & Switching

Should have Knowledge on Routing and switching Technologies like IGMP, OSPF, EGP, BGP, MPLS, L2/L3 VPN, STP, RSTP, VTP, VSS, MSTP, LACP, VLAN
Experienced Knowledge on LAN SW Technologies like STP, RSTP, VTP, VSS, vPC, vDC, MSTP, LACP, VLAN, VXLAN-EVPN.
Knowledge of hardware platform such as Nexus 9K, Catalyst Switches etc.

Security

Knowledge on Firewalls such as FortiNet, Palo Alto Firewalls and IPS
Knowledge on NSX-T Security technologies such as distributed firewalls, Micro segmentation etc.
Knowledge on NSX-T Advanced load balancer (AVI)

IPT and Collaboration

Experience with Cisco Call managers, meeting servers and Webex solutions
Expertise and hands on technical experience with IP Communications signaling and media protocols, including Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) and Real-time Transport Protocol (RTP).

Data Center Technologies

Good experience in designing and implementing Data Center solutions with VXLAN Fabric-based SDN solutions demonstrating Single-Site Fabrics, ACI MultiPod & Multisite Fabric architectures.
Knowledge on VMware NSX-T based Software defined data center technologies
Strong Cisco Nexus 9K platform knowledge and hands on experience.
Knowledge of Nexus Switches and UCS products.
