Job Description

Position Summary The Department of Integrative Agriculture at UAEU is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Assistant to join a multidisciplinary project that investigates the bioactive components of goat milk and their potential in human health applications. Key Responsibilities

• Organize and store milk samples and maintain sample logs.
• Perform EV isolation and OS extraction using solid-phase extraction.
• Conduct advanced laboratory assays such as SDS-PAGE, protein quantification, immunoblotting, RNA extraction, EVs and OS extraction.
• Coordinate sample shipment and documentation for abroad analyses.
• Maintain detailed laboratory records and ensure proper data entry and quality control.
• Collaborate with team members for data analysis and contribute to research reports and publications.
  
  

Minimum Qualification

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Animal Science, Veterinary Medicine, Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Food Science, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in sample handling, extraction techniques, and molecular biology protocols (e.g., RNA extraction, gel electrophoresis).
• Strong organizational and data management skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently, follow detailed protocols, and coordinate with collaborators.
  
  

Preferred Qualification

• Experience in cell culture, handling mice, Real-Time PCR, ELISA, spectrophotometer, GC-MS, HPLC, LC-MS, microbiology, and molecular profiling techniques.
