Originally founded in Hawaii in 2022, our team now spans the globe and brings together professional property managers, owners, broker-partners and guests across the US to responsibly manage vacation rentals in a way that benefits local communities.

Position: Web Developer

We are looking for a full-Stack Web Developer who is interested in building, from the ground up, a top of the line suite of tech tools for the Vacation Rental Management industry. You’ll enjoy this role if you like solving challenges which have yet to be addressed in this industry and by doing so, helping improve the vacation rental experience for guests, homeowners, and property managers. 

What you’ll do

• You will work across the entire technical spectrum of projects, from infrastructure, to back-end services, to front-end experiences on web and mobile. You'll need to design your components, features, and services for rapid growth, and build them to be extensible and maintainable for accelerated development. 
• Design, develop, test, launch, and support software and services that will make it easier for Gather to serve all of its customers. 
• Partner with business leaders and product managers to shape ideas into real products and systems. 
• Build tools that help teams across sales, marketing, finance, customer service, and operations.

Who You Are

• A degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 1+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language.
• Our current tech stack:
• Front-end: Alpine.js + Tailwind CSS + Laravel Livewire
• Back-end: Laravel
• Experience contributing to the system design or architecture (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.
• A desire to be a full-stack developer, building from 0 → 1.
• You are comfortable in an ever-changing environment and have a passion for successfully navigating ambiguous problem areas.
