Synechron is a leading global consulting and technology services provider specializing in the financial services industry. We are currently seeking a highly experienced Sales and Business Development Lead to drive sales, identify opportunities, and build sustainable relationships with clients in the ANZ region across all verticals.


Responsibilities:

  • Identify potential leads and opportunities, objectively qualify them, and position Synechron’s offerings, products, services, and delivery competencies, with a focus on payments, AWS cloud, DevOps, data, software engineering, digital selling, AI, automation, and blockchain.
  • Define strategies for pursuing leads and opportunities, collaborating with delivery and pre-sales teams to position Synechron’s solutions and responses effectively.
  • Actively drive winning themes and ensure support from all parties involved in positioning the best solution(s) to client situations.
  • Understand sales and business development objectives and broader region growth strategies, translating them into account plans and strategies.
  • Consistently meet set targets for sales, business growth, and profitability, with a focus on selling into major banks.
  • Build positive relationships with clients, identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities, address customer issues and latent needs.
  • Evaluate new business opportunities, recommend target markets, position existing capabilities, and identify in-demand service offerings.
  • Ensure adherence to documentation and customer relationship management best practices, handling all operational details for the sales process, including constructing statements of work, contracting, invoicing, and accounts receivables.
  • Provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting of sales activities, including win/loss ratio, target market penetration, and revenue goals tracking.
  • Adhere to sales processes and methodologies, ensure accurate and timely data into the CRM, and give sales presentations to a range of prospective clients.
  • Coordinate sales efforts with marketing programs, attend industry trade shows and events, and serve as an advocate for Synechron to explore new opportunities.


Position Requirements:


  • At least 10 years of experience in building positive customer relationships and achieving sales targets in the BFSI domain for an IT service provider or product/solution provider.
  • Tertiary qualified with a business/marketing degree and understanding of technology.
  • Effective communication skills, ability to multi-task, and understand complex technical and business problems for solutions.
  • Experience driving the sale of strategy engagements and proven results in financial services, with industry contacts and relationships.
  • Full understanding of business issues and the ability to manage the entire sales cycle.
  • Broad technical understanding and ability to research new technology trends.
  • Experience in closing high-value services sales and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in MS Project and/or Primavera and the MS Office Suite of products.
  • Excellent MS Office skills, including Excel, MS Project, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Visio Project Server experience.
  • Demonstrated excellent communication skills, including the ability to convey Synechron’s value proposition to various audiences, from Managers to CXO-level executives in a client-facing environment.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-based environment and willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
  • Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally.


Technical Experience:

  • Cloud AWS, blockchain, automation, payments, data, software engineering, and AI.
  • Banking, finance, and IT domain knowledge.
  • Internet/intranet development environments and 3-tier client-server environments.
  • Reporting and project tracking skills, as well as proficiency in desktop applications like MS Word, Excel, Access, Project, and PowerPoint.
