A growing law firm located in Greenway Plaza is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Generalist to support a wide range of human resources functions and ensure efficient day-to-day operations. This individual will report to the Sr. HR Manager and be responsible for maintaining HR records, managing HR systems, processing employee transactions, and supporting day-to-day HR operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, personnel files, and HRIS data.
  • Coordinate all aspects of employee onboarding and offboarding, including documentation, system setup, and exit procedures.
  • Support the recruitment process by scheduling interviews, managing candidate tracking, and conducting initial screenings.
  • Assist with benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, reconciliations, and related reporting.
  • Prepare and verify payroll data, track time-off requests, and resolve payroll discrepancies as needed.
  • Support performance management activities by monitoring evaluations and maintaining related documentation.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Respond promptly to employee and manager inquiries, providing accurate information and guidance.
  • Contribute to HR projects, process improvements, and department initiatives as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of HR generalist experience.
  • Strong knowledge of HR processes, recordkeeping, and employment laws.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with payroll systems and benefits administration. (ADP a plus)
  • Experience in the legal field preferred but not required
