About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Analyst to support a government client in assessing and enhancing its cybersecurity maturity and resilience. The successful candidate will play a key role in conducting cybersecurity assessments, developing standardized frameworks, and delivering actionable insights based on NIST standards. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the protection of critical public-sector infrastructure and information systems.


Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive cybersecurity maturity assessments for a state government client, leveraging the National Institute of Standards and Technology Cybersecurity Framework (NIST CSF) as the primary measurement standard.
  • Develop and maintain standardized assessment frameworks and Evaluation Standards Guides to ensure objective scoring of cybersecurity maturity aligned with CMMI rating levels.
  • Support the full assessment lifecycle, including documentation review, stakeholder interviews, maturity scoring, and preparation of findings and recommendations.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining interactive dashboards and analytical reports that provide real-time visibility into the client’s cybersecurity posture.
  • Ensure all key data outputs are structured for compatibility with Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) platforms.
  • Collaborate closely with client Information Security Officers (ISOs) and other key stakeholders, maintaining productive and professional relationships throughout engagements.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within Mulu Corp’s cybersecurity assessment methodologies, quality assurance processes, and reporting practices.
  • Provide analytical support to senior cybersecurity engineers and project managers, helping drive consistent, high-quality engagement outcomes.


Qualifications

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience conducting cybersecurity assessments or control-based evaluations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Demonstrated understanding of NIST-based cybersecurity frameworks, including NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, and NIST 800-171.
  • Familiarity with the Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) framework for assessing organizational maturity.
  • Experience working with GRC platforms (ServiceNow GRC experience a plus).
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate findings effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment, adapt quickly to new technologies, and manage multiple priorities effectively.
