The Role

We are looking for a versatile Data Scientist to work across multiple investment verticals, including liquid credit, insurance, direct lending, and other alternative strategies. This role provides exposure to diverse asset classes and requires adaptability, intellectual curiosity, and strong technical foundations.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teams across the firm to scope and deliver data-driven solutions.
• Develop flexible Python-based tools to support portfolio monitoring, alpha generation, and risk management.
• Apply machine learning and statistical techniques to large-scale financial datasets.
• Design scalable dashboards and visualizations to support investment workflows.
• Conduct ad hoc analyses across asset classes and product groups.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a STEM discipline.
• Complete fluency in Python; strong experience with pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn.
• Demonstrated interest in financial markets and investing.
• 2–4 years of professional experience in data science, analytics, or financial modeling.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to deliver practical, usable outputs across domains.
  
  

It is expected that the base annual salary range for this New York City-based position will be $125,000 to $175,000. Actual salaries may vary based on factors, such as skill, experience, and qualification for the role. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, based on factors such as individual and team performance.
