💻 What You’ll Do

As an Engineering Manager / Team Lead, you will:

Leadership & Team Development

Provide clear expectations, guidance, and feedback to foster team success.
Mentor team members in both technical skills and career growth.
Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and foster a positive team culture.

Technical Ownership

Lead the development of data pipelines and backend systems to meet business needs.
Ensure code quality and enforce best practices across the team.
Build proof-of-concept solutions and contribute to critical, core, and complex codebases.

Process Optimization

Develop and improve team workflows, ensuring efficient delivery.
Oversee adherence to testing standards, SLAs, and data lifecycle management principles.

Architecture Design

Influence the design of scalable, loosely-coupled system architectures for data pipelines.
Evaluate build-vs-buy decisions, ensuring technical trade-offs align with business goals.
Implement solutions in distributed systems, microservices architectures, and cloud-native environments.

Collaboration & Communication

Serve as the communication bridge between developers, product owners, and stakeholders.
Proactively identify dependencies and risks, resolving challenges before they escalate.
Align team deliverables with OKRs and KPIs, ensuring measurable success.

Must-Have Qualifications

📋 What We’re Looking For

Experience: 3+ years in backend application development and leading technical decision-making.
Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to guide, mentor, and grow teams.
Technical Expertise:

Strong proficiency in Python and database development (SQL, stored procedures, user-defined functions).
Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines and working with data lifecycle management principles.
Knowledge of distributed systems, microservices, and cloud-native databases.
Proficiency in Git processes, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.

Data Expertise: Familiarity with data lake/warehouse/lakehouse concepts, including data governance, cataloging, and analytics enablement.
Soft Skills: Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences (team members, stakeholders, leadership).

Nice-to-Have Skills

Hands-on experience with Snowflake and Apache Kafka (or equivalent technologies).
Familiarity with Terraform for infrastructure deployment.
Expertise in data observability and advanced analytics.
