JOB DESCRIPTION
The Marketing Coordinator's role is to work with the marketing team to strengthen ConMed’s market leading position within the local market and support numerous aspects of the product portfolio to ensure sales and profitability targets are achieved.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Execute an annual national marketing and sales program for the successful introduction, sale and marketing of the ConMed Orthopedics, Power and General Surgery Portfolio
- Support and execute new product launch plans to include (but not limited to), events, marketing communications, product promotions, forecast, inventory levels, medical education, sales training and sales forecasts
- Represent the product portfolio at tradeshows, meetings and cadaveric labs
- Develop technical expertise and extensive market knowledge within the product portfolio to provide support to the sales team through education, product/technique updates, dissemination of relevant clinical research, field visits, competitive intelligence, in-servicing and the promotion of new and existing products
- Maintain constant communication with the sales & marketing teams, international sales and marketing colleagues, and clinical KOL’s to develop working knowledge of customers, market and competitive trends
- Support sales team in field with product demonstrations, medical education evaluation of new technology, new business implementation
- Assist sales and management team in the completion of national and regional RFP’s/RFQ’s/RFI’s
- Regularly communicate with the Medical Education & Events department to support and execute external and internal events, cadaveric labs and tradeshows
- Execute inventory management tasks including (but not limited to): SKU rationalization, inventory management & field inventory investment analysis
- Works on the planning and implementation of projects that support the commercial strategy.
- Interacts directly with product managers to identify new marketing opportunities, prepares regular marketing activity reports and provides support to the sales organization.
- Provides pre- and post-sale marketing support to distributors and direct customers.
- Coordinate digital marketing initiatives and monitor KPIs effectiveness
- Other duties as assigned by your manager
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong communication skills
- Strong presentation skills
- Ability to work autonomously
- A strong comfort level in a clinical setting (operating rooms, hospitals, etc.)
- Self-starter with the ability to show significant initiative
- High energy level with strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude
- Exceptional social skills in order to build relationships with internal stakeholders and customers
EDUCATION
- University Degree (BSc/BA in business or health related discipline preferred)
- Medical and/or engineering background or experience is an asset
WORK EXPERIENCE
- 3+ years medical device Sales and/or Marketing experience required
- Sports Medicine and/or Orthopaedic specific experience preferred
REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends
- Travel (up to 20%)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
- Fluent English is mandatory
- Knowledge of Spanish is a plus
