About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior UX Designer / UI Designer to join our client's dynamic team on an initial six-month contract. This role is primarily remote, with occasional travel to London approximately once every few months. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in designing innovative, user-centric solutions for a new insurance programme, ensuring seamless end-to-end user experiences. Your expertise in UX design, wireframing, mock-up creation, and familiarity with Figma will be instrumental in delivering high-quality designs that meet both user needs and business objectives. Prior experience working within the insurance or financial services sector is essential, as it will enable you to understand industry-specific requirements and compliance standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a UX Designer or UI Designer, with a strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design projects.
- Proficiency in Figma for creating wireframes, prototypes, and mock-ups.
- Solid understanding of global accessibility standards and best practices in inclusive design.
- Experience working within the insurance or financial services industry is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing multiple priorities.
- UK residency or legal right to work in the UK is mandatory.
The Senior UX Designer / UI Designer will be responsible for leading the design process from concept to delivery, ensuring a user-focused approach throughout. Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to understand project requirements and translate them into intuitive designs.
- Creating detailed wireframes, prototypes, and mock-ups using Figma that align with user needs and business goals.
- Conducting user research and testing to gather feedback and iterate on designs for optimal usability.
- Ensuring all designs adhere to global accessibility standards and best practices for inclusive user experiences.
- Participating in design reviews, presenting concepts, and incorporating feedback effectively.
- Maintaining consistency across all design assets and ensuring alignment with brand guidelines.
- Supporting the development team during implementation to ensure design fidelity and functionality.
This contract offers a competitive daily rate of 450-550 GBP (inside IR35), payable via an umbrella company. The role provides the flexibility of remote working, with the opportunity to collaborate with a reputable organization in the insurance sector. Additionally, you will gain valuable experience working on a significant programme within a supportive environment that values innovation and user-centric design. The initial six-month contract may lead to further opportunities based on project needs and performance.
