Role Overview / Description

Reporting as a key member of the leadership team, the Chief Information Officer (CIO) will be responsible for developing and executing the organisation’s IT strategy to align with business goals and drive digital transformation. This is a high-impact role offering the opportunity to shape technology strategy, lead a growing IT function, and influence the operational and strategic direction of the company.


You will partner closely with the CEO, CFO, and ELT, embedding technology across all business functions while fostering innovation, efficiency, and robust cyber security. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on technology leader to make a tangible impact in a fast-scaling, ambitious environment.


Responsibilities

  • Strategic IT Leadership: Develop, implement, and continuously evolve the organisation’s IT strategy to support business objectives and drive digital transformation initiatives.
  • Technology Management: Oversee all IT systems, ensuring they are secure, efficient, scalable, and aligned with organisational needs.
  • Collaboration with Executives: Partner with the executive team to integrate technology across business functions and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Data Security & Compliance: Ensure the security, integrity, and compliance of all information systems through strong cyber security practices.
  • Vendor & Procurement Management: Work with Procurement to identify and manage third-party technology vendors, ensuring solutions meet business requirements.
  • Team Leadership: Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing IT team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Policy & Procedure Oversight: Contribute to the development and review of IT policies and procedures to ensure consistency, compliance, and alignment with business goals.
  • Project Delivery: Lead and deliver IT projects and special initiatives, ensuring timely and high-quality outcomes.
  • Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as required, in line with company policies and values.


Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, and bring a minimum of eight years’ experience in IT, including substantial leadership experience managing teams and shaping technology strategy. They will have a strong understanding of IT infrastructure, software development, data management, and emerging technologies, with experience in Wiise or Microsoft Dynamics considered highly desirable but not essential. This is a hands-on, strategic leader with exceptional project management and communication skills, capable of translating complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders. They thrive in collaborative, fast-paced environments and are committed to fostering a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and alignment with organisational goals and values.
