Outstanding opportunity for an experienced client-side Project Manager to deliver a major world-class laboratory research facility.


Our client, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their Delivery team to support the delivery of a landmark research and development laboratory. Candidates will need to have experience in either health, laboratory (PC2 or PC3), pharmaceutical or other technical manufacturing buildings $50m to $100m+. Having construction delivery experience will be important.


There is a lot of stakeholder management internally, project related, within industry and within government and having strong experience will be important.


As a Project Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of this complex, high-profile project. Responsibilities will include detailed planning and coordination, procurement and contract administration, stakeholder engagement, and maintaining alignment with project/company governance, WHS, and sustainability frameworks.


You will be responsible for managing scope, budgets, schedules, and risks throughout all project phases — from schematic design through construction and defects rectification — while leading communication between consultants, contractors, and key stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate effectively with internal stakeholders, consultants, and contractors

• Ensure adherence to project scope, budget, and schedule

• Maintain accurate documentation and reporting for audit and assurance purposes

• Support procurement and contract administration processes

• Identify and manage project risks and issues

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Infrastructure Delivery team


Experience & Qualifications:

• Minimum 7 years’ experience delivering large-scale projects ($50M+)

• Detailed technical knowledge of building services design, procurement, and installation

• Strong experience in contract administration of Design & Construct (D&C) contracts

• Ideally possess laboratory, health, or research facility project experience

• Extensive design management and delivery experience in a client-side environment

• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills

• Strong relationship management with contractors and consultants

• Understanding of specialist equipment procurement and coordination processes

• Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related discipline
