UX/UI Designer

Join a forward-thinking team dedicated to enhancing the customer journey in a continuously evolving market influenced by digitalization and energy transition.  We are looking for an experienced UX/UI Designer to strengthen the Digital Media team responsible for managing and evolving our enterprise design system. You’ll play a key role in ensuring a consistent and accessible user experience across web and mobile applications, while helping shape the next generation of digital services for customers.

This role combines hands-on design system management with UX research, prototyping, and continuous improvement based on analytics and user insights. You will collaborate closely with analysts, developers, and customer experience experts in an agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the organization’s design system, ensuring consistency across applications.
• Design and prototype intuitive, responsive interfaces for both web and mobile platforms.
• Apply a mobile-first approach and ensure compliance with WCAG accessibility standards.
• Conduct and support user testing to validate design hypotheses and improve usability.
• Use analytics tools (e.g. Hotjar) to analyze behavior and inform UX decisions.
• Contribute to the governance and evolution of design components and interaction patterns.
• Collaborate in Agile teams, translating business requirements into user-centric design solutions.
  

What are we looking for?

Must-Have Skills

• Minimum 3 years of experience maintaining and managing a design system.
• Minimum 3 years of experience designing consistent interfaces for web and mobile.
• Strong knowledge of WCAG accessibility standards and responsive design principles.
• Proven experience with user testing and UX research.
• Proficiency in Figma for design and prototyping.
• Experience using Hotjar or similar analytics tools for UX optimization.
• Strong problem-solving and requirements analysis skills.
• Fluent in Dutch (C2 level).
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant design, IT, or engineering discipline (or equivalent experience).
  

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience in the energy or utilities sector.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum ways of working.
• Experience in digital service design or atomic design systems.
