The Opportunity
As Flock Safety expands into new devices and use cases, we are seeking an Audio Algorithms Engineer to build an audio software platform for spatial audio capture. This reusable framework will standardize our approach to advanced audio, accelerate the development of future products, and unlock innovative features.
This position is on-site in Tampere, Finland.

Qualifications
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in a related technical field.
- Expertise in audio processing and algorithms
- Proficiency in audio C/C++ development
- Experience with DSP / MCU / ARM hardware platforms for audio processing
- Advanced knowledge of audio algorithm development

- Learn Flock products and how to use them
- Get familiar with Flock Safety's Product portfolio
- Identify products and concepts that could benefit from the common MCU Platform
- Design and implement microphone interface for MCU
- Make decisions on hardware architecture
- Software implementation for MCU
- Propose a solution for the motion module audio architecture
- POC implementation

- The Technical Assessment: Our technical assessments seek to test the hard skills required to do the job. Engineers may find themselves in coding interviews or architecture discussions, sales roles may present mock discovery calls, and leadership roles may craft 90 day plans. Your recruiter will inform you of which assessment you will be assigned and ensure you are fully prepared for your big day.
- The Panel: Learn more about the team, responsibilities, and workflows. You should be prepared to speak about past projects, how you collaborate and communicate with others, and how you live our values. Depending on the team and role you are interviewing for, you may meet with several teammates as well as cross-functional partners.
