Accountabilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Node.js and AWS technologies
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including frontend engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver seamless and efficient solutions
- Participate in product discovery, planning, and deployment phases of the software development lifecycle
- Optimize systems for high transaction volumes, ensuring robustness, concurrency, and fault tolerance
- Implement clean, maintainable, and secure code following software engineering best practices
- Continuously improve system performance and scalability through proactive problem-solving and testing
- Drive engineering excellence by mentoring peers, reviewing code, and contributing to architecture discussions
- Minimum 8 years of experience as a software engineer, with a strong focus on backend development
- Proven expertise in Node.js and TypeScript/JavaScript, along with proficiency in at least one other server-side language
- Strong SQL knowledge, particularly with PostgreSQL — including query optimization, schema design, and data migrations
- Solid understanding of OOP principles and design patterns for building scalable systems
- Experience developing and securing APIs using JWT, validation, and queue-based systems
- Ability to design systems for scalability and handle high-volume performance under load
- Comfortable working in fully remote, distributed teams with excellent communication and self-management skills
- A business-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering impactful, customer-centered solutions
