About the opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Project Manager to work closely with an experienced leadership and project management team. The company invests in its staff, supporting growth and development, with clear pathways to take on your own smaller projects or advance into a Project Manager role. This position is ideal for someone technically capable who wants hands-on experience executing tenant improvement projects typically ranging up to $10M+.

About the position
The Assistant Project Manager will support the Project Management team on a variety of projects across sectors including education, childcare, technology, food & beverage, recreation, and more. Responsibilities will include working on multi-story TI projects for large, globally recognized companies, splitting time between site, office, and home. This role provides exposure to both the technical and operational sides of project delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in managing projects from inception through completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met
  • Collaborate with Senior Project Managers and Project Managers to coordinate subtrades, suppliers, and site superintendents
  • Review drawings, submittals, and documentation to support project execution
  • Help monitor project budgets, cost reporting, and invoicing
  • Support project startup activities including contracts, insurance, and WCB documentation
  • Assist in maintaining schedules, meeting minutes, and change orders
Qualifications
  • Experience seeing tenant improvement projects through their full lifecycle
  • Worked on TI projects valued at $1M+
  • Technical background in Construction, Design, Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience with construction software
  • Comfortable reviewing drawings and submittals
  • Site-experienced and technically capable, with a blend of office and site exposure
  • Eager to grow into a Project Manager role and manage smaller projects independently over time
Compensation
  • Salary: $90,000 -$105,000
  • Bonus: Potential for profit sharing
  • Work Model: Hybrid (site, office, home)
