Product Manager (Contract)
Location: Leeds/Newcastle
Clearance: SC | Duration: 6- 9 months | Rate: £450 - 475 day | IR35: Inside Hybrid - Monthly Travel
We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to drive product strategy, vision, and delivery within a complex, fast-paced UK Government environment. The successful candidate will define product roadmaps, value propositions, and problem spaces, collaborating across teams to deliver business value.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain effective product visions, strategies, value propositions, and roadmaps.
- Work across Agile and traditional delivery approaches, supporting all phases of the lifecycle.
- Operate independently, managing uncertainty and multiple concurrent projects.
- Define problem spaces and articulate initial hypotheses for exploration.
- Build strong working relationships with delivery managers and cross-functional teams.
- Apply user-centred design principles, balancing competing priorities to deliver value.
- Communicate and influence senior stakeholders, embedding product management approaches and best practices.
- Engage stakeholders across organisational boundaries to gain buy-in for problem statements and solutions.
Essential:
- Proven experience as a Product Manager in UK Government/public sector or complex digital programmes.
- Active SC Clearance.
- Strong communication, influencing, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Skilled in Agile and traditional delivery methods.
