The Role
This is not a "wireframe-only" or "process-for-process-sake" role. We're seeking a hands-on, pragmatic Founding Product & Service Designer to join us as an early team member. Your primary responsibility will be to define the entire experience - not just the screens, but the workflow, service, and internal processes that make our solution work. You must be a strong facilitator and comfortable being customer-facing.
What You’ll Own
- Service & Process Design: Map, design, and implement the end-to-end customer journey, including internal operations, support models, and the overall service blueprint. Focus on designing the Workflow and Service over screens.
- Customer-Facing Experience (UX/UI): Own the entire product experience from concept to high-fidelity UI. Rapidly create wireframes, prototypes, and a foundational design system.
- Customer Discovery & Validation: You will be customer-facing, conducting discovery, interviews, and service testing with early users to deeply understand complex user needs and validate product-market fit.
- Facilitation & Alignment: Act as the key design facilitator, running workshops with founders, engineers, and partners to align on product strategy, technical trade-offs, and service delivery design.
- Design Operations: Define and establish the necessary design process in place that is pragmatic, not dogmatic, ensuring fast, effective iteration and collaboration.
What We're Looking For
We are seeking a unique mix of high-level strategic thinking, operational design, and hands-on execution.
- Full-Stack Design: Must have proven ability to cover UX, UI, CX, and Service Design with a primary focus on defining workflow and service over just screens.
- Startup Mindset: Must thrive in ambiguity, can self-start, and define their own design roadmap with little direction. Must be pragmatic, not dogmatic.
- Facilitation & Process: Must be excellent at running effective workshops and defining the right design process in place for an early-stage team.
- Customer Focus: Must have experience being a customer-facing researcher and designer, translating deep user insights directly into actionable product and service decisions.
Preferred Experience
- 5+ years of experience in product design, UX, or service design, ideally in a B2B or complex workflow domain.
- A portfolio demonstrating end-to-end ownership of projects, especially those involving the design of both product interfaces and underlying service/operations.
- Expert proficiency in modern design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma)
- Design experience within the Finance, Real Estate, PropTech, or broader FinTech industries.
- Familiarity with the workflows, compliance constraints, and specific user needs of financial professionals or real estate stakeholders.
