The Project Officer sits within the CCQ Business Team and provides project and administrative support to the Director, Legal Services Team.

  • Develop new and update existing operational policies, procedures, and templates to support business improvement initiatives.
  • Develop material relating to the approval processes for expenditure of external council related costs, ensuring approval and payments align to departmental policy.
  • Maintain the central register for external counsel related costs, which includes the monthly monitoring and forecasting of expenditure and providing detailed high-level reports to support financial decision making.
  • Develop and maintain a workload tracking system, to assist in the allocation of files across the legal team.
  • Support the implementation of policies, programs, projects, and initiatives to contribute to the achievement of the vision and objectives of the Legal Services Team and CCQ.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with the judiciary, departmental officers, key coronial system partners and other stakeholders to support corporate administration.
  • Actively contribute, as a member of the team, to the good governance of CCQ and as a member of the legal team, support and contribute to a positive, supportive, inclusive, and trustful organisation.
  • Undertake other duties as required.
