About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Data Migration Specialist to join a large-scale transformation program within the Queensland public sector. The position is based in Brisbane with flexible hybrid working options available. The engagement runs from November 2025 to August 2026.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute data migration activities.
• Conduct data mapping and analysis of datasets.
• Develop data migration and decommissioning strategies.
• Perform data reconciliation and quality assurance.
• Report on migration status, outcomes, risks, and issues.
• Manage the design, build, and testing of data migration processes.
• Collaborate with business subject matter experts and the project team to define, gather, document, and communicate migration requirements.

Highly Desirable Criteria

• Proven experience migrating data into a Microsoft Dynamics environment.
• Solid background in data analysis, transformation, and integration.
• Strong understanding of Agile / Scrum delivery environments.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex datasets and multiple project stakeholders.

Desirable Criteria

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• Previous experience within the public sector or justice services environment.
• Exposure to large-scale, multi-domain environments.

Skills and Experience

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in data migration, including planning, scripting, and execution.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data quality.
• Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to thrive under tight delivery timelines and maintain accuracy under pressure.
