Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize immersive XR experiences for Meta Quest 3 and additional platforms (mobile, desktop, custom hardware)
- Implement multiplayer networking using Photon, Mirror, or Unity Netcode to enable real-time fan interactions
- Design and build interactive 3D environments and artist worlds, ensuring high performance and cross-platform compatibility
- Collaborate with designers, artists, and product leads to deliver engaging, narrative-driven user experiences
- Integrate digital merchandise, avatar customization, and fan-generated content features
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize code for performance and scalability
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices for XR development
- Extensive experience with Unity and XR development, with a strong portfolio of shipped projects (Meta Quest preferred)
- Proficiency in multiplayer networking frameworks such as Photon, Mirror, or Unity Netcode
- Solid understanding of 3D environment design, optimization, and cross-platform deployment
- Strong C# programming skills and familiarity with Unity’s XR Interaction Toolkit
- Experience integrating interactive avatars, digital assets, or user-generated content
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, creative environment
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Availability for a contract/full-time role, with preference for hybrid work in Venice, CA (remote considered for exceptional candidates)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Game Development, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
