As a data driven organization, Bank Handlowy seeks to leverage data insights, statistical findings and propensity models to both optimize business results and create the best in class customer experience. The analyst in this role will be a part of a team that identifies business challenges and opportunities and builds data driven solutions to achieve the before mentioned goals. Responsibilities range from strategically identifying these challenges and opportunities through documentation and validation of solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and improve machine learning models and understanding their utility in variety of business needs.
  • Gather operational data from various cross functional stakeholders to examine past business performance.
  • Identify data patterns & trends, and provide insights to enhance business decision making capability in business planning, process improvement, solution assessment etc.
  • Recommend actions for future developments & strategic business opportunities, as well as enhancements to operational policies.
  • Translate data into consumer or customer behavioral insights to drive targeting and segmentation strategies, and effectively communicate all findings to business partners and senior leaders .
  • Continuously improve processes and strategies by exploring and evaluating new data sources, tools, and capabilities.
  • Work closely with internal and external business partners in building, implementing, tracking and improving decision strategies.
  • Assume informal leadership role as project owner, mentor and business point of contact.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in data science or related fields.
  • Solid programming skills in Python for data science with knowledge of relevant libraries e.g., Pandas, Scikit-learn, Matplotlib, Xgboost.
  • Proficiency in SQL/SAS and experience with relational databases.
  • Experience in development of machine learning and statistical models with focus of stability and interpretability.
  • Experience in implementing, documenting and monitoring machine learning models.
  • Understanding of statistical principles, ability to apply statistical approaches to business challenges.
  • Experience in retail banking business analysis and knowledge of banking products/processes would be an asset.
  • Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience.
  • Proficency in English.
