Role Overview

Offered position is for central system engineer.

Candidate will be working primarily on lottery on-line transaction processing system based on Linux/Unix system and written in C.

Main Activities

• Maintenance of existing installations of systems for our customers
• Development of changes/new functionality for existing systems on customer request, full range of tasks from requirements specification to QA tests support
• Development of new system deployments - adapting baseline system based on customer requirements
• Development & maintenance of automatic test system written in Python
• Development and maintenance of a lottery on-line transaction processing system
• Participation in future system deployments for world-wide customers
  
  

Requirements

• University or Technical College graduate preferable followed by at least 3 years of programming experience
• Very good knowledge of/working experience with C/C++, Unix/Linux and software development
• Very good command of English is essential
• Communication skills
• Flexibility, motivation, initiative
• Ability to learn fast and transfer knowledge
• Open to traveling
  
  

Not Required But Advantageous Skills

• Knowledge of Java and J2EE technologies, Unix shell scripting, AIX, OpenVMS, relational databases and client-server programming, designing and programming large scale, distributed systems
• Python
• Relational Database skills in most common RDBMS[es]
