Maitland, New South Wales Description Network & Communications Administrator About The Role The Network & Communications Administrator will implement and maintain highly available and secure ICT network and communications infrastructure to meet the operational needs of Council. As the Network & Communications Administrator you will ensure Council's ICT users have access to systems and information and will identify potential improvements to network services by investigating and leveraging modern network design and technology changes. In addition to the above, you will support and maintain AV technology across meeting rooms, collaboration spaces and event venues, including deployment, configuration, and integration of video, voice and presentation systems. You will also work to implement and manage technical systems to mitigate possible security threats to Council's ICT network, systems and data and manage risks associated with virus attack & intrusion detection. About You To be successful in this role you will have degree level qualifications in Information Technology or an equivalent combination of industry experience and/or education/ training. You will also ideally possess current Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification. In addition to the above you will have demonstrated experience in all applications of Information, Communication and Technology network infrastructure and experience in supporting, configuring, and maintaining enterprise Audio Visual (AV) systems across organisational spaces. The ability to communicate with influence, with a variety of situations, individuals, and groups and contribute to team and organisational goals is also essential. Benefits This is a permanent full-time role, working 35 hours per week with a salary ranging $105,916 up to $117,566 per year based on demonstrated experience + 12% p.a. super.
