ZillA Technologies OÜ is advancing the SymKai Protocol (P.P), a next-generation interoperability and safety framework that connects AI models with real-world devices.

Under the Horizon Europe HEDGE-IoT program (€21 M total budget), we will deliver the Certification Engine, ensuring that AI-controlled energy assets operate safely and meet the auditability requirements of the EU AI Act.

This is not ordinary software development — it is architecting the digital safety layer for high-risk physical systems.

You will lead R&D for the protocol Compliance Wrapper, a proprietary subsystem of our protocol Certification Engine.

1. Protocol Integration — Design and implement the integration layer aligning our protocol Manifest with HEDGE-IoT data standards (CIM, MQTT, FIWARE) for the Dutch Pilot.
2. Safety Logic Implementation — Develop the Validation Module that enforces certified operational limits in real time.
3. Real-Time Enforcement Testing — Build the Reflex Schema test harness to verify automatic safety overrides against malicious or unsafe AI commands.
4. Auditable Log Design — Architect the Auditable Log Chain for regulatory-grade traceability and compliance reporting.
   

• Experience: 5 + years in protocol engineering, distributed systems, or critical infrastructure security.
• Languages: Rust, Go, or modern C++ for high-reliability / low-latency applications.
• Security Focus: Strong cryptography and secure key-management background; security-by-design mindset.
• Regulatory Insight: Knowledge of the EU AI Act, NIS2, and industrial safety standards (IEC 61508, ISO 42001).
• Interoperability Bonus: Familiar with CIM, OPC UA, OCPP, Modbus, or IEC 61850.
• Mindset: Able to convert high-level theoretical concepts into secure, production-grade code quickly and independently.

This position is contingent upon ZillA Technologies OÜ being awarded the HEDGE-IoT FSTP grant.

• Upon funding confirmation (expected late 2025 / early 2026), the successful candidate will receive a formal contract for the initial 4–6-month phase.

Contract Type: Conditional Subcontractor / Freelancer — Contract starts only if grant is awarded

Duration: 4 – 6 months (full-time equivalent)

Rate: ≈ €500 / day (depending on experience)

Location: Remote — EU Member State or Horizon Europe Associated Country preferred
