From Hays, we are collaborating with a leading company in the pharmaceutical sector.


We are looking for an IoT Engineer to join their team. This role will serve as the key connection between the IoT Product Team and Operational Teams, developing and operating innovative applications on the E2E IoT INF platform.


Responsibilities:

  • Act as an IoT infrastructure expert, managing deployments, defining operational models, creating training programs, operational manuals, and monitoring processes.
  • Serve as the global lead for radio frequency management, defining and implementing processes across the organization.
  • Lead architectural reviews of new IoT solutions.
  • Understand the agile framework and follow defined processes, ensuring documentation complies with SOPs and work instructions.
  • Lead the IoT Community of Practice to enhance internal skills and foster innovation and continuous learning.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify growth opportunities, optimize processes, and drive organizational impact.


Ideal Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Applied Telecommunications, or a related field, with at least 3 years of experience or equivalent.
  • Experience as a project or system lead, capable of handling complex scenarios and designing functional IoT solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of radio technologies such as 5G networks, 6LoWPAN (IEEE 802.15.4, BLE), 6Lo (802.11ah, NFC, IEEE 1901.2), and LPWAN (LoRaWAN, NB-IoT).
  • Experience with wireless links, frequency planning, and coexistence management between wireless technologies.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and JavaScript, and messaging protocols like MQTT, CoAP, HTTP, and AMQP.
  • Experience with AWS services and API integrations with platforms such as SNOW, Axway, Azure AD, and potentially multi-cloud environments.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, problem-solving, analytical thinking, open mindset, and innovation skills.
