We’re looking for a Full Stack Developer with strong expertise in React, Node.js, and Tauri 2.0 to develop high-performance web and desktop interfaces that power our AI ecosystems.

Role Overview

As a Full Stack Developer at Soika Labs, you will design, build, and maintain modern user interfaces and backend systems that bridge human interaction with AI infrastructure. You’ll work across frontend, backend, and desktop app environments, collaborating with AI engineers and backend developers to deliver seamless, intelligent user experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain front-end applications using React (TypeScript preferred).
• Build and optimize Node.js (Express/NestJS) backend services and APIs.
• Design and implement cross-platform desktop applications using Tauri 2.0.
• Integrate APIs with backend services, AI inference systems, and agentic platforms.
• Ensure smooth communication between React front-end, Node.js backend, and Tauri desktop bridge.
• Implement responsive and modern UI/UX with frameworks such as Tailwind CSS or ShadCN UI.
• Manage build pipelines and deployment for both web and desktop environments.
• Collaborate closely with the design, AI, and backend teams to implement new product features.
• Optimize application performance, maintain security standards, and handle debugging across environments.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with React.js (Hooks, Context, Redux/Zustand).
• Backend development experience in Node.js (Express or NestJS).
• Practical experience with Tauri 2.0 for building cross-platform desktop applications.
• Knowledge of REST APIs, WebSockets, and real-time communication.
• Experience in frontend build tools (Vite, Webpack, or similar).
• Proficiency in Git, Docker, and version control best practices.
• Familiarity with Linux/macOS/Windows build environments.
• Strong debugging, performance optimization, and system integration skills.

Preferred (Nice to Have)

• Familiarity with Electron (for migration or interoperability).
• Experience with Next.js or React Server Components.
• Understanding of AI API integration or Agent-based platforms.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, container deployment, or DevOps basics.
• Familiarity with WebAssembly, Rust, or Tauri plugin development.
• Experience in building offline-capable desktop apps with local storage and sync features.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
