Python Developer - Build the future of green energy!

Join a boutique consultancy firm focused on digital sustainability - helping organisations design, build and optimise their digital assets (e.g., applications, platforms, cloud infrastructure) in ways that reduce environmental impact and improve resource efficiency.

This is an opportunity to help build solutions for the green energy and sustainability industries. Projects will be for battery farms, hydrogen tech, CO2 storage as well as the off-shore wind projects. Projects are always based in Oslo.

Typical Clients:

• Organisations that have significant digital assets (websites, apps, cloud infrastructure) and are seeking to reduce the environmental impact of their digital operations (and often reduce costs at the same time).
• Entities with sustainability, CSR or ESG mandates who need to integrate digital-sustainability (or “responsible digital”) into their overall strategy (for example public authorities, large enterprises).
• Organisations launching or scaling digital initiatives (including with emerging tech like generative AI) and who recognise that digital growth comes with increasing environmental cost. Green Digital highlights that “digital consumption trend is unsustainable” and that it needs to “learn to do more with less”.

Key skills required:

• Previous experience with backend development using .NET, C# as well as python
• Previous experience developing on cloud-based projects, ideally Azure (Azure DevOps, CI/CD Pipelines, Azure Functions, Azure Container apps, Terraform)
• Frontend skills are nice to have (JavaScript & React)
• Confident working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
