We are looking for a self-driven and independent individual to join our Human Capital team at Maybank Singapore. The role will review, formulate, develop and implement compensation and benefits programs to ensure its competitiveness and relevancy in attracting, motivating and retaining high calibre and competent staff of all levels within the budget constraint.


  • Review, formulate, develop and implement total compensation and benefit programs to attract, motivate and retain high calibre and competent staff of all levels within effective cost management, aligned with Group Compensation Strategy and the industry.
  • Establish procedures, controls and policies to ensure the integrity of the payroll processes/ activities, governing credit reviews pertaining to all staff loan applications, and accountable for internal and external audits.
  • Promotes a supportive, harmonious and cordial industrial relationship with the unions through regular meetings. Administer, formulate and develop policies to ensure observance of agreements with the Unions.
  • Support Head HR in Collective agreement negotiations, grievance handling, counselling and investigations relating to staff fraud/ cash discrepancy etc.
  • Review, formulate, develop and implement policies governing the staff code of conduct.


Job Requirements:

  • Degree with postgraduate in Human Resource/ Compensation and Benefit Management
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant managerial experience;
  • Well versed with the local labour laws and statutory legislation;
  • Exposure in Industrial Relations and dealings with unions;
  • Strong knowledge of end-to-end Payroll processes and Payroll Accounting;
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills including proficiency in Excel;
  • Ability to:-
  • prepare executive-level reports and summary materials;
  • interpret data, detect trends, draw conclusions and formulate recommendations.
  • Good understanding and working knowledge of the design of incentive plans.


  • Self-motivated and result-oriented with an ability and experience to manage, motivate and lead a team of Compensation and Benefit staff;
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with a high degree of confidentiality;
  • Strong interpersonal and consultative skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills;
  • Detail-oriented with strong calculation/ analytical skills;
  • Demonstrated critical thinking, problem solving, and project management skills.
