My Louth based client is currently recruiting for a Senior HR Generalist to join the team on a permanent basis. This role will initially be onsite. This role would suit a HR Generalist looking to get into a managerial position.
Job Responsibilities
- Support HR and management teams across sites with employee relations and industrial relations issues, including handling grievances and disputes.
- Oversee and administer HR, payroll, and time & attendance systems, along with the performance management platform.
- Prepare relevant HR reports and ensure compliance with ethical and regulatory guidelines.
- Manage the annual performance review process and assist with payroll administration.
- Lead efforts to recruit talent aligned with organizational goals.
- Develop key team members by identifying career paths and growth opportunities.
- Coordinate and manage development programs, including graduate programs, mentorship, employee development, frontline leadership, technical training, and online learning.
- Organize internal role transitions and assignments.
- Support succession planning and workforce development strategies.
- Encourage employee engagement, inclusion, and well-being initiatives.
- Coordinate internal communications, including updates via the employee app.
- Facilitate community engagement programs.
Experience Required
- 4-5 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
- Background in operational HR and employee relations within a unionized environment (preferred).
- Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Self-motivated with a track record of fostering employee engagement and organizational effectiveness.
- Demonstrated experience in implementing change initiatives and adding value to organizational goals.
- Proficient in HR and payroll systems, as well as Microsoft Office applications.
Essential and Desirable Skills
- 4-5 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
Educational Requirements
- Degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
