Vacancy Description:
Job Purpose
Plans, develops, enhances and updates the Bank’s IT infrastructure in terms of systems and communications in order to meet changing business requirements and avoiding disruption to Bank’s operations due to unavailability of IT facilities.
Responsibilities:
Strategic
- Provides communication framework to the existing application architecture of the bank and monitors its implementation.
- Assist in defining IT continuity, capacity planning and Infrastructure availability
Operational
- System administration of Dell Mx server and PowerMax storage infrastructure
- System administration of Linux servers
- System administration of VMware
- System administration of VDI, Citrix and other storage systems.
- Manage the administration and maintenance of the infrastructure environment in order to ensure high reliability, integrity, accuracy, safety and availability of data
- Support MDM solutions
- Support database and application teams' task initiatives.
- Support on backup solution and optimization
- Support for testing and developing infrastructure environments, which includes various domain like Windows, Linux, storage etc.
- Maintain suitable levels of integration among systems and data redundancy.
- Manage the administration and maintenance of the infrastructure environment in order to ensure high reliability, integrity, accuracy, safety and availability of data.
- Continuously keep updated about Bank Nizwa IT environment including on premise and third-party applications and various connectivity
- Attend meetings requiring IT inputs for new initiatives or resolving any specific issues.
- Attend to various audits and security testing of the applications managed by the Channels and Digital team
- Closure of audit findings and security observations within agreed timelines.
People
- Identify training needs and coordinate with line manager for arranging training
- Attend all assigned trainings
- Conduct and attend Knowledge transfer sessions within IT teams
- Plan and complete leave balance within the same year
- Timely submission of appraisals
Experience:
- 3 years
Required Qualification:
- Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree in IT
- Preferred: Masters
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in handling similar job profile preferably in Oman or GCC
Professional Qualifications
- Preferred: Computer hardware and networking
- System administration
Knowledge & Skills:
- Excellent knowledge of Dell Mx and PowerMax Platform
- Excellent Knowledge of Linux system administration
- Excellent knowledge of VMware
- Knowledge of Datacenter, DR, Windows, Citrix, VDI. KVM, Data replication, DR automation system Perpetuuti, patch management, Blackberry MDM.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent level of writing skills in English
- Good Analytical Skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Time Management skills
