About the Role

We’re looking for a motivated Junior Cloud Engineer to join our growing infrastructure and DevOps team. You’ll work alongside senior engineers to design, deploy, and maintain scalable cloud systems while ensuring reliability, performance, and security.

This role is ideal for someone eager to deepen their understanding of cloud technologies, automation, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC). You’ll gain hands-on experience with real-world production systems and modern DevOps practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in setting up, configuring, and managing cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).

  • Support the deployment and monitoring of applications in development, staging, and production environments.

  • Help implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.

  • Participate in automating CI/CD pipelines and maintaining build/deployment processes.

  • Monitor cloud performance, costs, and system health using observability tools (CloudWatch, Grafana, etc.).

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to cloud infrastructure and applications.

  • Collaborate with software engineers, QA, and security teams to ensure smooth releases.




Requirements

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Basic understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

  • Familiarity with Linux systems and basic networking concepts (DNS, firewalls, load balancers).

  • Exposure to scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell, etc.).

  • Understanding of CI/CD workflows and version control (Git, GitHub, or GitLab).

  • Strong problem-solving mindset, willingness to learn, and attention to detail.

Nice-to-Have Skills
  • Basic experience with containers and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, ELK Stack, CloudWatch, Datadog).

  • Knowledge of security best practices and IAM (Identity and Access Management).

  • Awareness of cost optimization and performance tuning in cloud environments.

  • Certification or coursework in AWS, Azure, or GCP fundamentals (nice but not required).
