Contract Network Engineer (Juniper) – Major Multi-Site Rollout

Aberdeen | 6 month Contract | Starting Monday 20th October

I have an urgent requirement for a skilled Contract Network Engineer with strong Juniper experience to join my client on an exciting project — a WAN, LAN, and Wi-Fi rollout across multiple sites. If you thrive on large-scale network deployments and love solving complex connectivity challenges, this is a fantastic opportunity to get hands-on with a major infrastructure transformation.

The Role

• Deliver end-to-end network rollout across multiple sites – from design and build to deployment and optimisation.
• Configure, test, and troubleshoot network infrastructure across WAN, LAN, and Wi-Fi.
• Establish and support secure third-party VPN connections, including IPSec configuration and parameter exchange.
• Investigate and respond to any suspicious network activity, working with stakeholders to mitigate threats.
• Support and optimise Juniper environments (experience with Mist is a bonus, but not essential).

Skills/Experience required

• You will go beyond basic configuration — you will have a deep understanding of networking principles and can approach challenges methodically.
• You should be confident walking through scenarios like:Troubleshooting connectivity issues
• Setting up a third-party VPN
• Responding to potential security incidents
• Strong hands-on experience with Juniper routers and switches
• Any experience with MIST would be extremely beneficial.
• Deep understanding of network fundamentals and the OSI model.
• Experience delivering large-scale rollout projects (WAN/LAN/Wi-Fi).
• Proficiency in VPN setup and secure third-party integrations.
• Familiarity with incident response and network security best practices.
