Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Principal Frontend Engineer, located in Sydney, NSW. You will lead the evolution of Benchmark’s frontend experience - shaping how users interact with our products and helping define the next generation of our platform. You’ll combine deep technical expertise with strategic influence, spearheading the frontend engineering practice, while mentoring and championing engineering excellence.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a technical leader, and a passion for quality
• Software Development and Web Development skills
• Deep expertise in modern JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript, with hands-on experience developing complex application using React (or equivalent framework)
• Strong foundation in Front-End Development and Responsive Web Design skills
• Proficiency in core HTML, CSS3 and styling preprocessors such as Sass, SCSS or Less
• Experience working with or implementing Design Systems
• A drive to solve complex problems
• A mindset for experimentation, learning and continuous improvement
