The role

We’re hiring a Senior / Lead Engineer to join the In-Store Systems Engineering team. You’ll help build and scale the software that powers thousands of in-store devices, and the backend infrastructure that supports them.

This is a remote, full-time role for someone based in Australia (AEST timezone), working with a distributed team across the east coast and with overlap for their Dallas team where required.

What you'll do

• Build Golang components for in-store media players (Raspberry Pi)
• Develop and scale APIs that support their global fleet
• Work with AWS IoT, ECS, and Terraform to deploy and monitor devices
• Improve CI/CD pipelines and observability tools
• Collaborate with engineering and ops to ensure reliable, scalable systems
• Support rollout, incident response, and ongoing infrastructure improvements

About you

You’re a seasoned engineer with experience in production environments and a strong focus on reliability. You're comfortable working across infrastructure, APIs, and embedded systems.

You have:

• Experience with Golang and/or Python
• Strong Linux and networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, HTTP)
• Familiarity with AWS, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines
• An interest in scaling systems across large hardware fleets
• Bonus: experience with IoT, AWS Greengrass, or POS/media streaming
