The Honeywell Software Centre develops state of the art networked building automation and digital video surveillance solutions that run on Microsoft platforms. Recognised as a leader in the development of innovative and quality software we use the latest development methodologies and tools and maintain a strong ongoing commitment to Quality Systems.
You will be part of a team of software engineers responsible for the development of our enterprise Video Management System known as Digital Video Manager (DVM). This product is exported worldwide through Honeywell’s global businesses.
Responsibilities
- Perform software engineering tasks to develop product enhancements to Honeywell's market leading solutions for buildings
- Provide responsive customer support for software solutions developed
- Collaborate with team members to find best practice solutions for software and processes
- Meeting high quality functional and non-functional customer needs or requirements
- Expertise in delivering high quality customer facing solutions for the Microsoft Windows platform using modern C/C++
- Proficiency in SOLID principles, test driven development
- Experience creating performant, scalable and maintainable software designs
- Experience with Agile delivery methodologies
- Experience working with Microsoft.NET is highly valued
- Experience with live video streaming applications and / or video processing frameworks and libraries like FFmpeg, Media Foundation is highly valued.
