Who We’re Looking For:

A computer scientist with a real passion for applied machine learning. You should have already built something meaningful — a model, an experiment, or a tool — outside your coursework. This 14-week unpaid internship comes with significant learning experience and is specifically for those who need to fulfill a university internship requirement, preferably based in Adelaide.

What Matters Most:

• Curiosity, initiative, and a demonstrable love of experimentation
• Personal projects in computer vision or deep learning
• A drive to work on world-first AI systems that make real-world impact

Skills & Experience:

• Solid understanding of image processing and computer vision
• Experience with YOLO (any version) or other object-detection frameworks
• Familiarity with Python and relevant ML libraries (PyTorch, OpenCV, etc.)
• Previous self-driven AI projects (GitHub, personal repos, etc.)

What You’ll Do:

• Develop and train AI models for GoMicro’s next-generation GenAI assessment systems
• Work on AI-in-a-Box devices — combining imaging, optics, and real-time inference
• Generate and test synthetic image data for precision model training
• Collaborate with engineers on deploying and evaluating models on edge devices
