Eligibility to Apply: To be eligible for appointment, applicants must have a valid working visa (for fixed term appointments) or be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or have a visa to live and work indefinitely in Australia (for permanent appointments).

Position Profile: The Budget Strategy Unit (BSU) within the Department of Health is establishing a pool of project officers. In this role, you will:

• Help drive the annual Budget cycle and contribute in its development in collaboration with key stakeholders and the Department of Treasury to support the Minister of Health.
• Help translate annual Budget outcomes into clear, actionable insights to assist budget holders decision making.
• Provide assistance with analysis of project and business financial performance. This includes analysing reports, identifying risks and liaising with Management on financial performance and projections.
  
  

Area Profile: The Budget Strategy Unit (BSU) coordinates the annual Budget processes for WA Health, including development of submissions in close consultation with budget holders, financial analysis and provision of budget and policy advice.
