Technical Project Manager (m/f/d)
Vienna – full-time 38,5 hours/week – starting immediately
We are looking for a highly organized and technically proficient Technical Software Project Manager to lead internal software development projects in healthcare and Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) domain. This position is crucial for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet the highest quality standards. As a key member of our team, the Technical Software Project Manager will collaborate with various departments to align project goals with business objectives, fostering innovation and efficiency throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate combines project management expertise with solid understanding of software development technologies and processes, and of healthcare standards, patient safety, and software regulatory requirements.
YOUR ROLE/RESPONSIBILITIES
· Lead and manage internal software development projects from inception to completion based on SaMD lifecycle stages in accordance with the quality management system
· Support and guide for timely in-scope delivery of project milestones, design controls, verification and validation activities and regulatory documentation
· Monitor project progress and drive transparency and executive-grade reporting during the entire software development lifecycle
· Facilitate an effective decision-making process for release scoping and change management
· Manage risks and issues and escalate timely for mitigation
· Develop, implement and maintain product timelines across multiple departments
· Coordinate cross-departmental dependencies including product, software engineering, artificial intelligence, quality assurance, regulatory, commercial, clinical trials and operations
YOUR PROFILE
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, IT or a related field
· 3+ years of experience in Project management, a PMP designation is an advantage
· 3+ years of experience working closely with developers or a background in software engineering
· Excellent command of MS Office tools and technical affinity
· Working language is English, written and spoken fluency is required
· Able to come into the office regularly (several days each week)
Main Competencies:
· Structured project management approach with excellent documentation approach
· Taking accountability of the committed deliverable and proactive approach to managing the project to success
· Solid understanding of the technical domain and software engineering mentality.
· Understanding of working under ISO 13485 QMS and native cloud software development is a plus
· Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
· Effective meeting facilitation and methodical problem-solving skills
· Capable of leading discussions, driving alignment in cross-functional teams and identifying actionable solutions during meetings
