Network & Security Engineer - Leuven Region - Hybrid Working
Your role:
- You will be the subject matter expert in networking within the operations team, technically leading a team of network engineers
- Responsible for leading projects related to network and security solutions, and overseeing the design and implementation of services, while ensuring the stability, security, and performance of network and IT ecosystems
- Build focused position (90%) with some run elements as well
Your background:
- Bachelor's or higher degree in IT, Computer Science, or other related fields
- 5+ years' experience in similar roles
- Strong knowledge in Networking (Routers, Switches, Wireless Networks, Network Access Control, Load Balancing, Software Defined Network) with Juniper, Huawei, or Cisco
- Experience in security and firewalling with Fortinet, CheckPoint, or Palo Alto - relevant certifications will be beneficial
- Knowledge of Azure Cloud - ideally hold a certification
- The ideal candidate will have experience in technical and/or people management
- Fluent in English and Dutch
