We're looking for a Senior Counsel to join our Legal team. As Senior Counsel, you will be a key legal advisor across the company, supporting strategic initiatives and ensuring legal compliance across multiple jurisdictions. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to navigate regulatory requirements, manage contractual matters, and proactively identify legal risks as the company scales.
Your main responsibilities are:
- Advise on EU regulatory compliance, including GDPR, EU AI Act, ESG, KYC, and data retention.
- Handle legal matters related to launching operations in new countries, including local compliance and regulatory assessments.
- Review, draft, and negotiate commercial contracts across the EU, UK, and US.
- Support employment law matters and HR policies in the EU.
- Provide legal guidance on employee equity and stock option programs.
- Partner with Public Affairs, Finance, HR, Marketing, Marketplace, and Commercial teams.
- Respond to day-to-day legal queries and participate in cross-functional meetings.
- Drive key legal and compliance projects across jurisdictions.
- Work on the frontier of legal innovation. You'll advise on some of today’s most exciting and complex topics, including AI, data privacy, automation, and mobility.

- Extensive experience practicing law, ideally with 7+ years in the field.
- Proven in-house legal experience at an international company.
- Strong skills in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating contracts.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex legal requirements into clear, practical guidance for business teams.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
- Experience working in a startup or scale-up environment.
- Expertise in employment law, regulatory compliance, or data privacy.
- Some familiarity with U.S. legal matters.
- Comfort with fast-paced, ever-changing environments, learning on the fly, and making confident decisions amid uncertainty.
