The Role
As our Head of Data Engineering, you’ll be at the helm of our data engineering function, shaping the strategic direction and scaling a high-performing team. You’ll lead leaders, drive architectural decisions, and ensure our data infrastructure delivers exceptional quality tailored to customer needs.
This is a pivotal role where you’ll balance strategic vision with hands-on leadership, helping us explore the best solutions, not just the first ones.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the data engineering roadmap aligned with company goals and customer needs.
- Team Growth & Development: Lead and mentor a team of data engineering managers and senior engineers. Play an active role in recruitment, onboarding, and career development.
- Data Quality & Reliability: Ensure our data pipelines deliver high-quality, reliable, and timely data that supports both internal analytics and customer-facing features.
- Technology Ownership: Oversee the use and evolution of our modern data stack, including Databricks, Snowflake, and dbt.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with Product, Data Science, and Engineering specialists to deliver scalable solutions and drive innovation.
- Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of experimentation and learning, encouraging the team to challenge assumptions and explore optimal solutions.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a leader of leaders in data engineering or a related field.
- Strong track record in strategic planning, team scaling, and technical leadership.
- Deep understanding of modern data platforms and tools (Databricks, Snowflake, dbt).
- Passion for data quality, customer-centric design, and technical excellence.
- Experience in a SaaS environment is a strong plus.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
