About BrightHeart

BrightHeart is a category-defining, AI-software medical device company on a mission to deliver expert level ultrasound care worldwide, regardless of resources, setting, and expertise. The company’s flagship FDA-cleared products apply AI in real time during the ultrasound examination to support exam completeness and abnormality detection, with an initial focus on the fetal heart and a clear vision to support all the major pain points of the prenatal scan.

The company was initially co-founded by two physicians, experts in fetal cardiac ultrasound. We are funded and incubated by Sofinnova MD Start III, an efficient 3-in-1 "accelerator" structure. Their mission is to incubate medical device innovations to the point where proof-of-principle in patients is demonstrated, allowing for interest from traditional investors and their continued funding. Their team operates the projects and builds new companies to bridge the gap between science and clinical experience. Through this, BrightHeart also benefits from a robust network of strategics, advisors, and investors.

BrightHeart is at an exciting inflection point having secured all the necessary FDA clearances to commercialize our product in the US and already showing solid traction with high-profile commercial partners.

We are currently a lean team with experience in the field, working with expert partners, and funded. We want to move fast by hiring top level talent!

What you will do

We are looking for an experienced Senior Product Manager to join us in our journey to build the best-in-class prenatal AI companion. This person will drive the roadmap and execution of key product initiatives at BrightHeart as we expand to the US market and beyond.

We ideally need someone who can start as soon as possible so we are open to both full-time employees and freelancers with a desire to eventually convert to a full-time member of the BrightHeart team.

As a leader in the Product team, you will own end-to-end product lifecycle management and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver high-impact solutions that align with customer needs and business goals.

The Key Responsibilities are:

  • Inform the product vision, strategy and roadmap while supporting the execution and implementation thereof, ensuring alignment with BrightHeart’s objectives to become the global leader in AI-driven prenatal ultrasound
  • Lead the product development lifecycle from discovery through launch and iteration for BrightHeart’s current products and next indications in our key markets (USA and Europe)
  • Translate complex problems into clear product requirements and user stories and oversee delivery thereof in partnership with our R&D team
  • Orchestrate the evolution of BrightHeart’s UI/UX to ensure an intuitive, scalable experience aligned with clinical workflows and user needs
  • Monitor product performance using KPIs and prioritize features and enhancements based on observation, data, customer value, and business impact while also complying with the main FDA and EU medtech regulations
  • Collaborate cross-functionally at the intersection of Sales & Marketing, Customer Success, Clinical, R&D and QARA to ensure evidence-based, outcome-focused decision making for what is delivered in the product, and validation that what is delivered achieves intended outcomes
  • Support various aspects of the product management process, including quality assurance, analytics, competitive intelligence and internal tool/process enhancements
  • Analyze user behavior from our key user groups (sonographers and clinicians) and feedback from interviews and other feedback channels, alongside market research, and competitive analysis, to identify high-value opportunities and optimize product impact
  • Provide detailed progress reports and presentations to stakeholders and senior management
  • Implement and iterate best product management practices to make BrightHeart a truly customer-centric, product-led organization

  • Who you are
    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant, technical field
    • 5+ years of product management experience in start-up or high-growth environments and working with highly technical stakeholders
    • Experience shipping software within the regulatory constraints of a Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) product and, ideally, specifically in medical imaging
    • Proven track record of launching and scaling complex, AI-powered B2B SaaS products, with a distinctive ability to craft intuitive UI/UX that deliver measurable workflow impact
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English with an ability to distill a complex topic in a simple, easy-to-understand recommendation for stakeholders
    • Experience working in cross-functional teams and skilled at building efficient relationships throughout the organization, from executive leadership to individual contributors
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in data-driven decision making leveraging relevant tools (e.g. PostHog, Amplitude, Mixpanel, etc.)
    • Strong interest in health, AI and our mission
    • Willingness and excitement to travel to our sites in the US (up to 40%)
    • Based in Paris (FR)

    Bonus:

    • Experience leading product in AI research teams
