Description

EIS is looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer for the Data Analytics team. You will act as a DataOps Engineer supporting a variety of cloud-based and on-premise infrastructure covering back-end APIs, serverless functions as well as pipelines, developing and improving automation of the data-driven cycle used by Data Analytics team: creating scripts, pipelines, improving the quality and security of every component, as well reducing the delivery cycle time of data analytics.

The successful candidate will have a well rounded DevOps background with hands on experience in tools and technologies such as Terraform, AWS and/or Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Maven, or related.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the analytics data stack: production pipelines, deployments, services, cloud and on-premises deployments;
  • Identifying and resolving issues related to cloud infrastructure and 3 rd party SaaS solutions; conducting post-incident reviews, suggesting improvements to reduce number of incidents in the future; supporting customers and escalation cases;
  • Maintain mission-critical software and handle data for multiple clients and on multiple environments: from Development through Production;
  • Establish scalable, efficient, and automated processes for large-scale software and data deployments that leverage the best automation tools on offer;
  • Service, cloud infrastructure and flow automation and orchestration;
  • Build monitoring and meaningful alerts that meet SLA and customer demand;
  • Document share-ready knowledge;

What We Expect:

  • Clear understanding of security best practices and compliance concerns in an enterprise environment
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in DevOps, DataOps, or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of creating IaC: Terraform
  • Strong knowledge of UNIX and network fundamentals
  • Strong database knowledge: MS SQL, Postgres
  • Strong Azure or/and AWS knowledge: implementation, administrative skill set
  • Experience with Docker/Kubernetes
  • Experience with GitOps and DevSecOps approaches
  • Experience with Agile methodologies

Seen as an advantage:

  • Experience with any scripting language: Go, Python
  • Experience with data orchestration solutions (Airflow, Argo Workflows, Dagster, Prefect etc)
  • Data tools/solutions: Snowflake, DBT, Fivetran
  • Monitoring: Datadog; Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, Alertmanager; ELK
  • IaC: Pulumi, Terragrunt
  • Configuration management: Ansible or similar
  • Familiarity with a variety of DevOps tools like FluxCD, Linkerd or their equivalents
  • Certs like AZ-104 or AWS Solutions Architect
  • SRE mindset

  • Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. We are open to considering candidates at both Middle and Senior Engineer levels, with compensation tailored accordingly. The salary range information is based on market location.
