Lead Project Manager (BESS)

Location: Germany (flexible locations, hybrid)

Responsibilities

• Lead the contracting phase of utility-scale BESS projects through to Financial Close
• Coordinate across internal teams (Development, Procurement, Origination, Financing)
• Manage key project agreements: Permits, EPC, Offtake, Financing, Land Lease
• Oversee preliminary development aspects: grid connection, permitting, stakeholder engagement
• Identify and mitigate project risks and ensure delivery timelines are met
• Lead and mentor project team members in a matrix environment

Requirements

• Strong track record in contract negotiation and managing projects to Financial Close
• Experience with permitting, grid connection, and stakeholder engagement
• Fluent in English and German
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-responsibility environments
