Lead Project Manager (BESS)
Location: Germany (flexible locations, hybrid)
Responsibilities
- Lead the contracting phase of utility-scale BESS projects through to Financial Close
- Coordinate across internal teams (Development, Procurement, Origination, Financing)
- Manage key project agreements: Permits, EPC, Offtake, Financing, Land Lease
- Oversee preliminary development aspects: grid connection, permitting, stakeholder engagement
- Identify and mitigate project risks and ensure delivery timelines are met
- Lead and mentor project team members in a matrix environment
Requirements
- Strong track record in contract negotiation and managing projects to Financial Close
- Experience with permitting, grid connection, and stakeholder engagement
- Fluent in English and German
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-responsibility environments
