A/SA level – Lab Network Administrator
Well versed in below activities and be part of a larger team spanned across the globe
- Network Administration:
- Install, monitor, debug, and maintain the Data Center network infrastructure.
- Configure and troubleshoot Cisco routers and switches, including VLANs and Spanning Tree Protocol.
- Support and manage communication protocols such as NFS, TFTP, FTP, SSH, SCP, DNS, and LISP.
- System Administration:
- Provide network supports for virtual solutions.
- Operational Support:
- Manually/virtually install, configure, and troubleshoot DC network devices.
- Apply security patches for Network devices as required
- Ensure excellent customer service.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with clients, team members, and partner organizations.
Mandatory Knowledge and experience in below tasks
- Networking Expertise:
- Strong understanding of Cisco router and switch product lines, including IOS, IOS XE, IOS XR, and NX-OS.
- Competency in TCP/IP, subnetting, routing protocols, Ethernet media, VLANs, and Spanning Tree Protocol.
- Knowledge of networking monitoring tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, and Wireshark.
- Networking knowledge, including Cisco IOS and IPv4/IPv6 subnetting
- System Administration Skills:
- Proficiency in server-based operating systems (Linux, Windows) and desktop/server applications (WINS, DHCP, domain controllers, group policies).
- Strong knowledge of active directory (AD) and troubleshooting Linux AD connections.
- Experience with virtual environments like KVM, Docker, and VMware (vCenter/ESXi).
- Scripting and Automation:
- Familiarity with Python, Bash Shell scripting, and web services (Apache, NGINX).
- Soft Skills:
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Highly organized, with strong project management skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across teams and partner organizations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in configuring and maintaining automated systems (e.g. Puppet, Ansible, Terraform, etc.)
- Knowledge of advanced communication protocols: DNS, SNMPv2/v3, ssh, http/https, etc.
- Familiarity with security and compliance requirements for lab environments.
- Ability to interpret and remediate security and compliance requirements in a lab environment.
- Cisco Certifications: CCNA or CCNP preferred.
- Should be able to manage and work with Various Stakeholders, Team of Lab Staff, Lab Admin and System Administrator spread across several locations.
- All workdays from customer office.
