Clinical Data Scientist
Reporting to: Senior Manager – Clinical Data Science
Working within the Clinical Data Science Team
Location: Remote – You must live within a 3hours of Irelands time zone.

The selected candidate will work within the Clinical Data Science Team supporting projects relating to:
- Development, validation and deployment of AI/ML and signal processing algorithms for clinical applications.
- Collaborative research projects with academic and/or clinical partners involving analysis of biomedical signals and clinical data.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and validate biomedical signal processing and AI/ML-based algorithms to support deployment of objective digital health measures.
- Explore and model biomedical and clinical data through signal analysis and visualization.
- Develop deployable and well-documented code in Python and/or MATLAB.
- Integrate analysis pipelines into existing and future software platforms for commercial use.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the state-of-the-art in AI/ML, digital health, wearables and related fields.
- Supporting the Clinical Data Science Team with other tasks as delegated.
- Educational requirements:
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Science, Computer Science, Data Science or other related discipline.
- 3 years’ experience in biomedical or audio signal processing.
- 3 years’ experience in data science, AI/ML modelling and algorithm development.
- 3 years’ experience in at least one statistical/data analysis programming language such as MATLAB, Python.
- Experience with version control (Git) and collaborative software development.
- Proven experience in scientific research, data analysis and technical reporting.
- PhD in Engineering, Science, Computer Science, Data Science or other related discipline.
- Experience in audio signal processing for clinical applications.
- Experience with deep learning architectures (e.g., CNNs, RNNs, Transformers, GANs, Foundational AI).
- Experience in deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, MATLAB Deep Learning).
- Experience in applying statistical methods and reporting results.
- Record of scientific publications in biomedical signal processing, AI/ML or digital health.
- Excellent problem solving and innovation skills with a research-focused mindset.
- Strong motivation, creativity, and inquisitiveness.
- Effective verbal and written communication.
- Ability to work both autonomously and within a team.
- Strong ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders regardless of seniority.
- Passion for improving patient outcomes through digital health technologies.
- Delivery of high-quality, validated algorithms and analysis approaches within agreed timelines.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Contributions to advancing digital health research and commercial development.
