Chief SAP CAP Developer

We are looking for a talented Chief SAP CAP Developer to design and deliver advanced cloud-native solutions using Node.js and SAPUI5.

In this role, you will play a key part in transforming client applications and driving innovation in enterprise software development. Join our global team to contribute to every phase of the software development lifecycle within a SAFe agile framework.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement software solutions across the user interface, backend, and database layers
• Develop cloud-native applications on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) using CAP, Node.js, and TypeScript
• Build and maintain front-end components leveraging SAPUI5, HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript
• Collaborate with globally dispersed teams to deliver high-quality software in an agile development environment
• Troubleshoot and resolve software issues to ensure reliability and efficiency
• Configure and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like Git, TeamCity, and Jenkins
• Utilize lean development methodologies to optimize software delivery and deployment processes
• Participate in all stages of the software development lifecycle, from initial design to final testing and deployment
• Contribute to architectural decisions for distributed systems and data processing frameworks
• Adhere to best practices in cloud-native development and containerized environments
• Share expertise and contribute to team documentation to support knowledge transfer
• Monitor and improve application scalability and performance

Requirements

• At least 7 years of hands-on experience with SAP Cloud Application Programming (CAP) using Node.js and TypeScript
• Minimum of 2 years of experience leading and managing development teams
• Participation in at least 2 full-cycle projects or involvement in multiple phases of various development lifecycle projects
• Proficiency in Java development within enterprise-scale environments
• Strong expertise in front-end technologies such as SAPUI5, HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript
• Experience working in agile software development environments, particularly with SAFe methodologies
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools, including Git, TeamCity, and Jenkins
• Comprehensive understanding of containerization technologies and cloud-native architectures
• Experience with distributed systems and data processing frameworks
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on detail and precision
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in multicultural, global teams
• Organized and goal-oriented approach to work
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, at a B2 level or higher

Nice to have

• Experience with other front-end frameworks like ReactJS or Three.js
• SAP CAP certifications or other SAP-related credentials
• Familiarity with additional JavaScript frameworks outside of SAPUI5
• Understanding of lean development principles and practices
• Experience with cloud platforms beyond SAP BTP
