We are seeking a senior HR Generalist to strengthen our central HR Operations function for Nordic countries, based in Riga/Latvia. This role will work closely together with our country HR teams in Nordic countries. Responsibilities and tasks for this role will be in the area between standardized services and more advanced country-based HR services requiring stronger HR knowledge, mid to senior personal skills and the ability to work with country specific HR matters.
In This Role You Will Be Responsible For
- Handling and being responsible for specific country-based services
- Independently run and make decisions on HR matters and processes
- Improving and developing our processes and ways of working within our HR services
- Acting as 2nd level support for specific areas
- Collaboration with other central HR teams, also in Riga/Latvia
- Employee and Manager Support
- Compliance & Process Improvement
- Ad-hoc projects and tasks
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or similar related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in HR or similar role
- Strong case-handling and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong structural skills and ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
- Extensive experience with IT tools, AI and enterprise IT tools (ERP, HCM etc)
- Creativity and the ability to find solutions to complex challenges and issues
- Basic negotiations skills
- Fluency in English. Knowledge of at least one Nordic language (Swedish, Norwegian, or Finnish) is an advantage
- Knowledge of Nordic labour laws and HR practices (preferably across multiple countries in the region) is an advantage
