Requirements
We are looking for a Lead Rust Developer that has who is flexible with technology, and
- Minimum 8 years of experience in software engineering
- At least 3 years as Lead Developer(or similar role)
- Good experience with Rust and preferably Java, Spring Boot and/or Typescript
- Experience in Start-up environment
- Currently Live in the Netherlands

👩💻 What will you do 🧑💻
As a Lead Rust Developer, you'll be pivotal in maintaining the back-end quality of our ZNO (Zorg Netwerk Omgeving) product. The ZNO is an interface that allows practitioners to aggregate data from multiple sources as well as collaborate on patient treatments. It supports various treatment contexts, including Medication, Maternity Care, Advance Care Planning, Hospital at Home, and Chronic Care. The ZNO back-end contains an API-gateway, account-management, user-authentication, FHIR workflow coordination and data-storage. ZNO is built on Rust backend processing FHIR data into GraphQL for the React frontend.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Proposing and scoping initiatives to improve reliability, traceability, and performance of the application.
- Collaborating with the product manager to turn solution architectures into documented software architectures.
- Working with the product owner to prioritise the roadmap and ensure tasks are aligned with business goals.
- Preparing sprints and breaking down Epics into user goals and tasks with clear definitions of done and QA requirements. Other developers in your team then define and manage their own issues.
- Take an active role in the daily stand-ups, ensuring engineers are on track, and communicating updates to internal teams.
- Writing high-quality code and leading by example.
